Kids need the word too!

The other day I was trying to figure out why my 4 year old was so cranky lately. God revealed to me that kids just like adults get out of whack when they aren't in the word or at least learning about Him. I wonder how many kids are a mess like mine was, in the summer. We have AWANA during the school year and Sunday school also and now she has nothing. During church the kids go to JR. Church but that is more like child care. Our family is moving and taking a trip to Mich this weekend so our house has been upside down. I decided to read a few bible stories to her and our neighbors kids and I see a difference. She even said "Mom I wasn't even cranky today". This was a reminder to me to keep myself and my children in the word. The word is alive and needs to be working in us.
